Kindergarten Online Teacher Reading Academy (Revised)
The goal of this revised Kindergarten Academy is to provide information about effective instructional practices that can enhance and promote early reading success. In addition to the 2008 Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), this Academy considers additional ways to meet a range of abilities among kindergarten students by scaffolding and adjusting instruction, systematic grouping, and application of beginning literacy concepts and skills.

First Grade Online Teacher Reading Academy (Revised)
The goal of this revised First Grade Academy is to enhance teacher's knowledge of instructional practices that promote early reading success. In addition to the 2008 Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), this Academy focuses on effective instruction for all students and includes multiple activities and resources that can be implemented immediately.

Second Grade Online Teacher Reading Academy (Revised)
The overarching goal of this revised Second Grade Academy is to provide teachers with the knowledge and expertise to address the wide range of abilities among second graders. In addition to the 2008 Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), this Academy will address the importance of determining how students are progressing. Teachers will discover ways to plan literacy instruction to ensure literacy success for their students

Third Grade Online Teacher Reading Academy (Revised)
The goal of this revised Third Grade Academy is to provide information about instructional practices that will help ensure that all students read on or above grade level by the end of third grade. In addition to the 2008 Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), this Academy provides resources and tools for helping students strengthen their beginning reading and advanced literacy skills.

Special Education Reading Project: Elementary Institute
The Elementary Institute examines the important components of beginning reading instruction and instructional adaptations that can be made to to ensure that teachers who work with struggling readers, including students with disabilities, are knowledgeable about basic early reading literacy instruction and instructional adaptations, so they can meet the needs of all learners.

Fourth Grade Online Teacher Reading Academy (Revised)
The goal of this revised Fourth Grade Academy is to help teachers as their students move from "learning how to read to reading to learn." Because students are expected to read and understand increasingly difficult content area materials, all teachers play a role in helping their students become independent readers and writers. In addition to the 2008 Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), this Academy includes a repertoire of instructional strategies that can help you provide differentiated instruction that targets the individual needs of the students in your classroom.

Special Education Reading Project: Secondary Institute
This Institute is intended for middle and high school educators who are teaching struggling readers. Struggling readers are those students who are reading significantly below grade level. The purpose of this Institute is to provide literacy content as well as instructional adaptations, so that all struggling students can access the curriculum.
