Phrase Card Reading is another fluency building activity that falls further along on the continuum. Phrase Card Reading involves adaptations in the Instructional Content (teaching phrases in isolation), Instructional Activity (change of activity), Material/AT (phrases written on index cards), and Delivery of Instruction (providing direct instruction to a small, teacher-led group instead of students working in pairs).
