If you are experiencing problems with Searchlight and require technical assistance, please contact us at searchlightsupport@texasreading.org. Please number and answer each of the following questions to the best of your ability. Provide as much detailed information as possible so that we may expedite your technical support request.

  1. First and Last Name
  2. Email Address with which you registered in Searchlight
  3. Searchlight Username
  4. What issue(s) are you having with Searchlight?
  5. What are the exact and detailed steps you took prior to receiving an error?
  6. What is your Operating system? (Mac OS X, Mac OS 9, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, other)
  7. What type of internet connenction are you using? (Dial-up, Cable, DSL, T1, other)
  8. Which web browser and version are you using? (Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, Opera, Netscape, other)
    If you do not know the version number of the web browser you are using, follow the directions below:

    For PC (Windows) Users
    - Open up the web browser with which you are accessing Searchlight.
    - Click on Help in the Menu bar.
    - Locate and click on About (and the name of the web browser). This is generally the last menu option.
    - Locate the version number on the pop up window. We need the entire number.

    For Mac Users
    - Open up the web browser with which you are accessing Searchlight.
    - Click on name of the web browser (e.g., Firefox, Safari) in the Menu bar. This is to the right of the Apple in the Menu bar.
    - Locate and click on About (and the name of the web browser). This is generally the first menu option.
    - Locate the version number on the pop up window. We need the entire number.
